Abbie Cornish (born 7 August 1982) is an Australian actress. Her filmography includes such roles like Heidi in Somersault 2004 Fanny Brawne, Sweet pea in Suckerpunch, Lindy in Limitless 2011, Clara Murphy in RoboCop 2014 and Sarah in Geostorm 2017. Also, she worked alongside Martin McDonagh on Seven Psychopaths 2012 as well as Three Billboards in Ebbing Missouri (2017). Cornish made up the team that was awarded the very first Screen Actors Guild Award for the film Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri (2017). Jack Gilpin, who starred in Adventureland as well as The Mothman Prophecies among other films, was her dad. Ann McDonough played the mother. Betty Gilpin chose to act because her parents supported and believed in her. When the time came to go back to college, she chose Fordham College where she learned to develop her skills. Gilpin began to act in Off Broadway productions following her graduation, while also casting for roles in the screen and on television. The actress was invited to guest star in the NBC show Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001-2011) and then followed it up with smaller roles on Ghost Town (2008) and The Northern Kingdom (2009). Gilpin kept landing mostly TV guest appearances in the subsequent years until she received her first break in 2013, for the role of Nurse Jackie. Gilpin, playing Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin, played in 34 episodes on Nurse Jackie until the series concluded on June 15 the 15th of June, 2015. Gilpin was also seen in True Story, a mystery thriller.
