Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Gerina is the given name of her. Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican mother from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, was birthed in Mexico. She has Mexican origins, however she is American as a national. At a very young age the desire for her to be engaged in sport was strong. Gerina began playing golf after she was 15 years old. Gerina went to Goddard High School. At the age of 16, she was a winner in the state championship golf tournament in New Mexico. Her volleyball skills were also recognized at the national scale. The year 2003 was the time she began her studies at the University of Texas. In her senior year, she took home the top prize in every single tournament that she participated. In her undergraduate seasons, she won the Conference USA's player of the season and UTEP's Female Athletic of the Year.
