Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was one of the cast members of Carol & Company, starring with Carol Burnett in the early 1990s. Barone had played the role of Carol Willick Ross Geller's husband in Friends the first time she appeared. Jane Sibbett took over her character after Barone left the show in order to concentrate on her full-time job. She was on The Jeff Foxworthy Show for the first season (1995-1996) as well as in The War at Home from 2005 through the year 2007. Barone was also a part of Daddio the sitcom which aired in 2000.
